The Sales Segment
Three new favorite products, Sephora Sale Discounts, and sales from Abercrombie, Anthropologie, Athleta, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's and some beauty sales
I need to start writing this newsletter in a Word Document and then transferring over to Substack. I had a personal reflection mini essay written about my mom guilt and then I somehow deleted half of it. I even cried while writing it. Which often happens when I am writing something personal. Oh well. At least I got my feelings out. Sometimes that is all I need.
I was telling my best friend that journaling is so helpful for me but sometimes I do not feel like writing or typing. So I open up a voice memo and just start talking to no one. I almost never re-listen to them, but it is so helpful for me to just get my feelings out there and almost always reduces my anxiety.
Since tomorrow is Easter, I will not be sending out another newsletter and spending time with James and my family. So this week is just a few favorite things I have been liking and some sales to check out! Then I am off to dinner with Britt (my best friend and assistant) because I have not seen her since she went to Italy! It has been the longest month!!
Three Favorites
Adding a new section to the newsletter where I talk about three favorite products I have been loving. This week it is:
FentySkin Hydra’ Reset Hand Mask, $25 (and free shipping)
I bought this last week during their Friends and Family sale because I love glycerin and this is 40% glycerin. I used it the first night I received it and could not believe how soft my hands were when I woke up. It is a thicker, sticky mask that you wear at night. However, it is not messy. It has a fragrance, but it is a soft, clean fragrance. I have received several DMs about how good it is — James even commented on how soft my hands were! If you wanted to try it out, but do not want to spend the $25, you can also get a mini for $14 at Sephora with free shipping. For some reason, they do not have the full size.
Snif Laundry Detergent and Scent Booster, $42 (10% off with SISTER10)
Snif sent over their laundry detergent and scent boosters to try and as someone who loves fancy laundry detergent, these were right up my alley. I love washing blankets and towels in fancy laundry detergent because the fragrance will help brighten up the entire room they are in. You do not need to buy both - you can just buy the scent booster and use it with unscented laundry detergent. But I did use both the detergent and the scent booster in Raincheck on the last load of laundry I did, and I AM OBSESSED with it. I even thought James was wearing cologne. I think Old Money smells the most like regular Tide. Rain Check reminds me of the smell of one of my favorite perfumes from Replica “After the Rain.” It smells clean, aquatic and bright. I also like Sweet Ash, but After the Rain really made me weak in my knees when I smelled it on James.
Future Society Optimal Habitat Fragrance Primer, $60
Devan from DevsDay posted this fragrance primer when it first launched in February and it was an immediate purchase for me. I love so many perfumes that lose their power after a few hours. Why do I keep buying them? Well, because the scent makes me happy! IT WORKS. Some of my favorite perfumes (Glossier You and Phlur) are notorious for not lasting long. Missy goes through Missing Person so quickly because she has to use so many sprays. But this fragrance primer makes it last HOURS. Like I can still smell it at the end of the day. You just spray a few sprays where you would spray your perfume, wait 30 seconds and then spray your perfume. The only one it has not worked for is the Nemat Amber Fragrance oil (one of my favorite skin scents., but I think it is because it is an oil and not a perfume.
Sales
There are some fantastic sales this weekend!
Anthropologie
If you missed it, Anthropologie is doing an extra 50% off sale items!
This sale is best shopped by filtering through dresses in your size, shoes in your size, and any other clothing items because sizes are always limited. It does say final sale, but have had several followers (and myself) have luck returning through online. However, I also had a dozen followers get a price match on the dress they bought last weekend, and then other followers not receive it. So still buy at your own risk! I always buy final sale items with my credit card that has protection on it (American Express Platinum).
Abercrombie
Abercrombie is 20% off almost everything! Missy did a try on there recently and you can see all of her + Britt’s picks here. I also tried these pull-on linen pants and LOVED them. And you can even get a tall. They are not true linen pants though, and are lined, but I liked that they were not scratchy.
Athleta
Athleta is 30% off “Spring Essentials” this week. AND IT INCLUDES THE ENDLESS PANTS. You know, the pants I talk about non-stop because they can be both work and casual pants, but they have a Yoga waistband? I think you can size down in them if you are an apple shape, but I would consult reviews to see if you can find someone with similar shape on sizing. I am an apple shape. But Britt is pear shape and took her true size.
Bloomingdale’s
Bloomingdale’s Friends and Family Sale for 25% off a lot of things (exclusions apply) is going on right now. This is a great time to buy some their house brand, Aqua, that Missy loves. Don’t judge her tan here, though. The lighting was terrible. She insists she does not look like tan mom in real life. She also loves Paige jeans, which are also included in the 25% off sale.
J. Crew
It seems like J Crew always has a sale. It says 40% off everything, but there must be some asterisks because it is really up to 40%. However, it is half off a lot of my favorite things — like THE best shirt, bathing suits and these cover ups - striped and polka dot - that I like.
I am linking to my LTK where I did a try on of the ruched strapless (but it comes with straps) and it is great for anyone, but especially if you are trying to conceal a FUPA. I have a long torso and the plus fit me perfectly. It also comes in cute gingham and polka dot. I also think this dress looks like Dior or something a rich person would wear. Like it screams old money to me. This one is also in my cart.
Nordstrom
If you do not have a discount above 10% at Sephora, this is the time to buy some of the designer makeup like Clarins, Tom Ford, Dior, Cle de Peau, as it is 15% off at Nordstrom.
I love the Tom Ford concealer. I think it is better than the Cle de Peau as it is not as drying, but still matte enough. Looks airbrushed and is perfect on pimples and I can even wear under eye. I wear color silk and have light skin with cool undertones.
This is a great time to buy the Clarins Cryo Mask - one of my top favorite masks. I just love how cooling it feels and how it provides moisture and a lifted look afterwards. I get about 10-12 applications per jar!
Space NK
Space NK is a British Beauty Brand that has 20% off most every brand right now. I have had no issues buying any skincare or makeup, but the candle I bought did not make it over in piece. However, this is a good time to stock up on one of my favorite soaps, Aesop hand soap. It is an expensive hand soap, but it smells good and somehow does not dry out your hands. It also looks fancy and is a great guest bathroom soap. Other brands on sale: Augustinus Bader, Charlotte Tilbury, Drunk Elephant, Hourglass, Necessaire and Sisley. Missy is obsessed with this new foundation from Sisley, but I am going to make her post about it. No one should be buying a more than $100 foundation blind. Haha, I can’t hate on her too much because she is the reason I discovered and love the Tom Ford foundation. But sometimes the girl needs to step away from the luxury stores. Do not buy K18 at SpaceNK, it is more expensive than in the US.
Sephora sale
The Sephora Sale starts this week (4/5) for Rouge members, but Sephora Collection will be 30% off for everyone starting 4/5. The dates are as follows:
The Sephora Sale is one of my biggest revenue generators of the year. It isn’t even that great of a deal in the grand scheme of things — especially as a lot of brands host their own sales at deeper discounts. However, I still love shopping the sale and building my cart. I will of course be covering again this spring — it will be my FIFTH Sephora sale. Isn’t that crazy?! If you would like to support us, you can always click this link before shopping the sale and we will get credit for your purchase.
This year if you are Rouge, you can “bring a friend” for 20% off. It is a one time use only link, but if you share it someone else that is not Rouge can get 20% off. This year I am collecting these links (you just go to your Sephora profile and copy the link to share — one time use only, though) and will be giving them out to people who are randomly selected through this sign up here.
Here are the rules:
I will be taking Rouge “Bring a Friend” links until Saturday, April 6th at 5 PM EST. We will then draw the winners of who will be receiving a link. And then draw the winners of the gift cards on Sunday, April 7th.
Five Rouge members who volunteer their link here will be randomly selected to win a $50 Sephora Gift Card after confirmation of link working. Just go to your Beauty Insider page, and you will find a section to “Bring a Friend.” You will still get access to your 20% off during the sale, but you can only share your link once. If you share with us and then decide to share with someone else, PLEASE reach out to me so I know to remove it from the list.
If you would like a 20% off code, you can request one here. Depending on how many codes we receive and how many requests we receive will determine how many people will get one. If there are not enough to go around, I will be randomly drawing names for the winners. One of the people requesting a discount will win a $100 Sephora gift card!
I would love to hear what you are looking for recommendations on or things that you have tried and loved from our past recommendations in the comments section. I will be picking three people from the comments to win a $50 Sephora gift card!
Have a great weekend!!

Links in this email are commissionable links, meaning we receive a commission at no extra cost to you when you click on the link and purchase anything from that store. We appreciate your support through these links!
I will definitely be stocking up on Merit & am tempted to try out some Patrick Ta blushes.
Adding the Fenty hand mask to my cart! I recently cut my hand and I’ve been on the lookout for anything to help the healing process/heal the scar.
