Road Trip Update
Good afternoon from I-75N! We are driving from Cape Coral, Florida where we visited my Aunt Jan and Uncle Trey for Spring Break - something we have done every year (minus 2020) since they moved down there in 2013. They are like my second set of parents and being with them feels like home.
Despite Rebecca’s pleas to drive down, we always fly down. Rebecca wanting to drive is funny to me because when we were young we could only afford to drive places - which is very common in the Midwest! We would drive to the beach, to visit my grandparents in Ft Myers or crash my dad’s business trips because vacation is where the pool was. I did not fly on a plane until I was 18 to Chicago! I appreciate my parents taking us on an annual trip together, even if it was just to the amusement park or a cabin a few hours away. Those trips and spending time together are some of my favorite memories.
Okay, back to why we are driving — our flight was victim to the mass cancellations last Saturday and we were not going to be able to get down until Monday night. It was a rash decision, but we decided to drive. In our Tesla. Would it have been smarter to rent a car one way and fly home? Yes. All I can say is that being able to visit Bucees two times (on the way down and home) clouded my judgement. Is it close? no. It is a 17 hour drive without taking in stops. We always stop in a hotel overnight. However, my car is a gas car and James car is a Tesla. And since I never drive, I am letting my cousins borrow my car. And I love the Tesla. I do. But only for city driving and errands. Road trips in a Tesla are a pain because charging takes at least 20 minutes each time and we have to re-charge every 200 miles.
However, my focus has been TERRIBLE the last few months. So it is kind of nice to not have anywhere else to go or do and just get some work done!
So let’s get to it!
Fashion Sales
Athleta- 25% OFF for Icons and Enthusiasts | 20% for CORE or new sign ups. Shop our favorites here. Goes until March 20th.
Anthropologie - Extra 40% off sale. I do not usually post this sale because it is final sale only. However, two of my most complimented dresses were purchased during an extra 40% off sale, so I think it is worth filtering by your size and browsing. I did curate a few finds - like this cardigan I have here - I love it! I always stock up on things like dishcloths, kitchen towels and jewelry during this sale.
Old Navy - 40% off everything| 50% off for cardholders. Check out all of my Old Navy pictures/videos here.
Don’t miss these pants - they are SO similar to the Athleta Brooklyn pants. You can check them out in my video here.
Madewell - 25% off
Madewell has an Insider sale, so as long as you sign in, you will get 25% off! This is a great time to buy the shoes I keep posting about (the woven flats), the woven leather tote I purchased before leaving for Florida, and belts! Britt (borderline petite, pear shape) also tried on a few dresses that she loved, and were true to size.
I have always stayed away from belts because I never needed my pants to feel tighter. Then last year I realized belts are really for completing a look, and so I have invested in a few (Anthro has the best quality plus size belts). They really can make an outfit! Madewell has some really good ones right now that go up to size XXL. All 25% off.
Beauty Sales
( ) Glossier - 20% off entire site. I love Glossier You perfume. I have the spray, the roller ball and the solid perfume. It smells so clean and crisp, but then has a hint of pencil. You know, the good pencils. It is so unique. My only complaint is that it does not last a long time, unless I am using this fragrance primer (this is really good, btw). But that is how much I love it. I buy it anyways. I just bought the candle and the deodorant to try.
( ) Favorite Setting Spray - Truly - your makeup will not budge. And it helps prevent makeup from transferring to your clothes. Half off today (March 16th) only. Free shipping at Sephora. If you are reading this on Sunday, check out the new half off deals at Ulta and Sephora.
( ) Caudalie Friends & Family Sale - Caudalie is a brand like Clarins for me - it is very reliable and makes me feel fancy when I use it. My first experience with Clarins was with the Vinoperfect serum, which claims to be more potent than Vitamin C serum. And I would believe that. This really helps with dark spots and melasma for me, but I also love it because it is hydrating. I tried the Premier Cru line from redeeming Sephora rewards and could not believe how good it was - like even competed with my holy grail, Skinceutals Triple Lipid. Then Caudalie sent me a PR package with the Premiere Cru Rich Cream ( I use at night) and it is even better for dry skin. They both smell powdery, but great for my dry skin. Buy the refill if you already have the jars for a significant savings. I also love the detox mask. I use this a few times a month to help with congestion and drying out zits. I like it because it is not too drying and comes in a tube so it is less messy. The value sets are always the best deal.
( ) Skinceutals 25% off - a BeautyDealsBFF find (and her affiliate link). I have never ordered from this site, but she vets all of her deals and found it to be an authorized retailer. They also have a lot of other skincare brands!
Hope you liked the sales digest! All of the links were commissionable, meaning if you shop using the links, I will make money off of it at no extra cost to you!
Have a great weekend!

Two stops at Bucee's would cloud my judgement too!
