Retirement 2: Electric Boogaloo
Life updates. Sephora Sale Picks. And our favorite CBD on sale.
I should re-name this newsletter to “Sunday Leftovers” because I never end up sending out on Sunday. There has been a good reason. I am tired. I am depressed. I am working too much.
I quit my job at the end of March to work on My Sister Made Me Buy It more. I gave myself two weeks to do whatever the hell I wanted. And it was great. Then I started to develop a routine. But I was floundering. I started to regret my decision to leave my job. I had imposter syndrome. I was comparing myself to others. I was not getting feedback like I did in my job. So when my old boss called only 4 weeks after I left about covering maternity leave in July. I jumped at the chance. I wanted to help out my old team and I thought it would be nice to only have to work ten hours a week. Like how much work could it possibly be?
Well then I actually started to develop a routine. I had a really good May. I did some partnerships. I was finding my groove. We re-did our website. I had lots of ideas on how to be a community cultivator. And then July hit. I went on a trip with my friends. Had a cruise with James family. Then a week of jury duty. Then I started to work on Mondays and Thursdays from 9 to 2 until today.
You may be thinking “Sarah, stop whining, it is only ten hours.” Yes, I realize this. However, it was ten hours during the week when I wanted to try and set up a schedule to get things done so I would not have to work so much on the weekends anymore. Plus during the summer. I promised to spend time with Rebecca. So it really ate into my weekdays time and I found myself either not working on the weekends and feeling bad about it or working on the weekends.
WELL TODAY WAS MY LAST DAY!!! Retirement part two. But not really retirement. But I actually have time to hopefully create a schedule and get to the things I initially said I would get to - like this newsletter.
Sephora Holiday Savings Event
One of the things that has monopolized my time is the Sephora Holiday Savings Event. Have you heard of it? JK. Rouge members already have access to 20% off, but tomorrow VIB and Beauty Insiders (anyone can sign up for Beauty Insider) can start to shop. I know everyone is talking about it right now and you are probably sick of hearing about it. It is one of the biggest sources of my income every year, so I do try to go all out. However, I also know it is not usually the best sales you will see, but I still shop it because I like having everything in one place.
I put together a blogpost that truly has EVERYTHING in it. Makeup Favorites. Skincare Favorites. Best Value Sets. Fragrance Favorites. Gifts under $25. Gifts more than $25. It is all there. But if you do not feel like listening to me ramble on, you can also shop everything here.
Gap Sale - 40% off + 20% off - ends tonight
Missy loves these jeans. Size up.
Followers DMed me that the “CashSoft” line is incredible and runs a little big, so I am going to try out and get a matching sweater pants and top set.
EarlyBird CBD Sale
An original Things I Bought and Liked rec. It is so good. It is CBD that contains 2.5% THC from Hemp (which makes it legal?). But 12.5% CBD. So it really helps take the edge off and relax you. It does not even make me overly tired, it just makes me sleep well.
Now, do they taste great? No. They taste like weed. But, it is worth it to me. I just chase with some water. I would say to start out with half and see how you feel, then increase as needed. It takes about two hours for me to feel the effects, but I equate it to having two glasses of wine relaxed. It really does calm my anxiety, too!
You can buy a sampler pack here. Or buy a bottle of gummies here ( I like strawberry the most, but others say watermelon). Or some followers have said they like the tincture, which you can add to drinks. I am going to try that one next.
You can go to the FAQ page for more answers!
Able Sale - 40% off
If you missed it, I updated our blogpost on Able Clothing! Great time to buy leather and denim jackets. Check out the blogpost here!
I hope you all have a great week!!
P.S. I am typing this as I starving and ready for dinner. I am just pressing send and praying there are not a ton of mistakes. If there are, sorry! Just comment and I will fix. If it is a typo, I never fix those because you know what I mean.
Happy (not) retirement #2! Always cheering you on and happy to attend dinner or have leftovers ❤️
Love reading your newsletter, on whatever day of the week that it arrives! The day I stop nursing is the day I plan to have those gummies show up on my doorstep. I can't wait to try them!
